The food here was wonderful. As diamond members we were treated to a "lounge" experience served by Mrs. Takahashi. She was very helpful and made some wonderful drinks for us as well as a snack platter. Afterwards we moved to the next room for dinner and tried the two versions of their burger. The cheese burger was simple and delicious. High grade beef and fresh veggies and the bun was excellent. The 100% Kikyo original burger however was on another level. Breakfast: The Japanese option is superior to Western, the Eggs Benedict is dry and has no Hollandaise sauce to speak of.

Dinner: The 5 glass pairing option for wine is highly recommended. Everything was great except oddly the steak...

旧軽井沢KIKYOキュリオヒルトンのメインダイニング。ディナーコースのみでの営業(ちなみにカジュアルなダイニング「ア・ターブル」の方は、昼間も営業でアラカルトもある)。軽井沢では離れ一軒家的なお店が好まれるそうですが、その概念を払拭するお店でした。

フレンチではなく、ほとんどが信州と隣接県の食材という料理。テーブル担当の方にお聞きすると、創作料理ですとのこと。 お料理は繊細だけれどダイナミック。どこでこの食材探して来るのか珍しいものも上手く使われている。万人受けする無難な料理ではないかもしれないが、密度の濃い2時間のお食事タイムでした。シェフの石井さんはパティシエを経験し、スペインで修行された方だそうです。 自分の中で、こちら星6つです。また行こういう気になります。
