CONA — Restaurant in Kawagoe

I will try to be as unbiased as possible despite reading some of the alarming comments and reviews that were written here. I dinner with my partner the other day and all in all it is a nice restaurant with a good ambience and kind servers. However, some constructive criticism I can give which I hope will be taken into consideration from the management is the hygiene factor and the service.

The glass my partner got was quite dirty and clearly wasn’t washed properly. In addition, the service was extremely slow and once your seated you’re basically forgotten about. No one comes to take your order and when you finally do manage to flag someone down to take your order the likelihood of you having to remind them what you ordered is high. Our experience was that they forgot our order and we had to wait another 10 more minutes for the bill which they forgot about and we had to remind them when we got impatient.

As for the food factor, yes the pizza dough is very thin almost like a crispy thin naan, but it is okay for the price. My partner and I were starving and the food was ok at best and we were not too surprised at the final bill. However, the ¥300 seating charge at dinner to me is crazy. Though it is not much, it is unnecessary. It feels like you’re paying that extra charge just to wait for ages for your food. Not worth it. I would say it’s an okay place for a meal but if the service and hygiene doesn’t improve, I don’t think I’m coming back...

Actually we think some of the reviews here are overly harsh. Was here for dinner with my partner, and we ordered two pizzas, a salad and drinks. The food was nothing spectacular, but it wasn’t bad. The pizzas took 30mins to arrive , which is acceptable considering the restaurant was at about 80% capacity. The dough is very thin (like burrito wraps) so it may not be to people’s liking. The service was good and prompt, while the servers were friendly - really no complaints there. However, there is a requirement for a drink per person, though the cola was severely...

Worst worst worst ever. Don’t fall for their 500 Yen Scam. We went there bcoz of that but ended up paying many hidden charges. Our plan was to buy 2 Pizzas, but it came with mandatory paid drinks(2)😂😂 And also paid 300 yen per head for sitting there for 30 mins😅. By the way we ate Naan in the name of Pizza, but fortunately cancelled the next pizza. The total cost was very surprising.
