🍪 My order: Imo Bun with Azuki beans 220¥ Food 4/5 What a delicious Imo Bun! It was my first time trying this kind of sweet and at first I found it quite weird in terms of taste. However, I really loved it after the second bite. Unfortunately the bun was pretty sticky which made eating it pretty challenging, but if you ever have the chance to try one, go for it!

Service 5/5 What a lovely elderly lady! It was so refreshing to see her so happy whenever someone bought her buns! She makes people's hearts...

川越名物『いも恋』をお土産に購入する為に、川越市内にある『菓匠右門 時の鐘店』さんへ。  幹線道路面店では無く、時の鐘の裏通りに面したお店なので、此処なら自転車停められそう‥‥‥‥‥‥って行ってみたら、凄い人のビッグウェーブで、自動車どころか自転車も押し歩きしないとムリ💦 何とか路上駐輪出来ましたけど、5分程度が限界だと踏んだので、速攻で菓匠右門時の鐘店さんへ。  お店の軒先で、大量のいも恋が大きな蒸篭で蒸されていて、もう美味しいオーラを湯気と共に放っていますw  今日は『いも恋』1個180円が3個入った『いも恋3個』540円を購入。 昔通っていた頃に較べると3割以上値上げしてましたが、ま、仕方がない💦 観光地のお土産ですからww  『いも恋』は、一見見た目は小ぶりな普通のお饅頭ですが、食べてみると、2種類の甘さを楽しめる二層構造のお饅頭で、甘味好きには堪らないw  川越名産の蒸したサツマイモの輪切りの上に、北海道産の小豆で作った粒餡を重ね、その餡をモチモチした山芋と餅粉の生地で優しく包んだ饅頭で、懐かしくも新しい。  一口食べると、サツマイモの甘さが口いっぱいに拡がり、その後に、甘さ控え目な粒餡の甘さが追っかけてきます。 二つの甘味が互いを補完しあって、甘味の調和が取れています。 また、モチモチした皮から、ほんのりした塩気がサツマイモの甘味を引き立て、饅頭の美味しさを際立たせていて、美味しいっスww  このいも恋は、饅頭の苦手な人でも洋菓子チックに食べられる饅頭w やはり、川越土産は『いも恋』で間違いないですww
