With all the fancy presentation and gimmicks, I couldn’t help but worry this might be one of those “looks good, tastes disappointing” situations…
Chestnut Cheesecake – It was not too sweet, and while it had a nice milky flavour, the chestnut purée wasn’t nearly as rich or intense as I’d hoped. The cheesecake itself was creamy and smooth, quite well made, but I was really here for the chestnut – and that part just fell a bit flat.
Matcha Cheesecake – The first thing that hit me was the sweetness. Unfortunately, it lacked the green, unique and slightly bitter fragrance that makes matcha so refreshing. The texture was also on the sticky side, and left me feeling quite thirsty. Overall, quite disappointing.
The shop itself is simply decorated. There were two of us and two kids – we ordered two desserts to share while sitting in.
