A hip and trendy place, but very smokey inside. Needs better ventilation. Nice staff, and we came after 5 pm and managed to get standing seats. Must order one drink per person, which is annoying. Ordered 6 sets of Gyoza but they were very greasy, salty and need just a pinch of ginger, garlic, fresh herb to take that salty/greasy edge off. Next time, I would order less gyozas😂. Stumbled upon this spot while looking for an early dinner. It was early enough and not busy that we got a seat at the bar right away. Staff was very sweet and was really helpful with menu. Loved the vibe, watching meals get prepped. Although a simple menu it was one of the best meals we’ve had in Kyoto. Stumbled upon this restaurant early in our Kyoto stay. Staff were very friendly and were able to cater to our poor Japanse. Juicy, light gyoza paired well with the cucumber.
