Anji is a seafood-focused izakaya with a menu of small plates and grilled seafood great for sharing and pairing with drinks! Ordering was streamlined and done via QR code, and the service was attentive and on point. We started with the Obanzai plate, which came with three local vegetable dishes including radish, eggplant, and mushrooms/carrots/scallions. We also had two other Kyoto specialties: boiled tofu, a pot of soft tofu cubes with Napa cabbage and other vegetables cooked on a hot plate at the table; and Namahu Dengaku, or skewers of chewy baked wheat gluten topped with miso sauce.

Overall, the dishes here were all fresh and delicious, and the value was amazing for...

Great service too, friendly staff who helped with the menu. It's all done via QR code and your phone should translate the menu on the fly, but they also have paper English menus with arguably better translations. Highly...
