BAR HOP SEED — Restaurant in Kyoto

Overall, the bar is really cool. I spent 5 days in kyoto with my boyfriend and I have been there 3 times. The first and second time I had an amazing experience. Unfortunately on the last time, my experience was not perfect. I was served by Yuna/Iuna bartender. I was the first costumer to arrive and she told me I can sit anywhere I wanted. I decided to sit on a table with two chairs since I was alone and I didn’t feel like to sit on the counter. I spent almost 2 hours there drinking. After this time, three new costumers arrive and Yuna/Iuna told me to move to the corner of the counter to sit all by myself looking at the wall because some people arrive. She didn’t even ask. I told her “that’s not really cool since I am drinking since I arrive and some costumers are almost leaving”. She didn’t care at all and put my things over the counter. The table didn’t have 3 chairs. It had 2. 1 minute after, 5 costumers left and she didn’t even say sorry or anything. I understand that the bar needs more costumers, but I think it’s not like this. Maybe she needs to value more the clients that are already there. But I think it was not cool for the costumer, in casu, myself. We were really excited for our first bar on Pontocho Alley. This place seemed cute. We both ordered 500ml craft beers. While they tasted great, they were very expensive, and we received much less than 500ml, especially when we compared it to the much larger glasses seen at several other tables. Confused, we clarified with the server as we thought they made an honest mistake. He then proceeded to convince us that the volume in our tiny glass was 500ml. It doesn't take an engineer to know we were being ripped off. If the prices were more reasonable we wouldn't have cared, but the beers were 1200 yen each. Very...

My boyfriend and I had an awesome night at this Bar. After so many years He get to visit Kyoto again so he decided to pay a visit to an old friend.

We first went to the old Bar where Kotaro used to work and the nice bartender there gave us the address of where he is working now.

This Bar had a cool vibe and nice ambiance! Very nice people working there! I recommend this Bar as one of the Bar you should include if you plan to visit Kyoto:)

Their Plum flavored sochu is the best! Hope to see you guys again soon!
