Beer Bar Miyama 162 — Restaurant in Kyoto

Cute place! It is a tiny space so we were lucky to get a spot for 4 people after a short wait. We ordered craft beers and a cocktail. Chuhai with yuzu and honey was perfection honestly I could have 10 more.

The venison sausage was great but keep in mind that it takes 20 mins to prep. Comes with pickled radish (not sure?) and smoked edamame - to me it was the star of the show. Such a good snack.

The bartenders were so helpful and kind, the one who took our orders also gave a stella dinner place recommendation.

People can smoke indoors and that was the only downside for me but besides that it is a lovely dive bar. Would definitely recommend.

A great bar with a selection of craft beers made in Kyoto, as well as craft beers from abroad.

The staff were very friendly. The snacks available were all “smoke” themed and served in elegant glass holders. The edamame were a little freezer burnt looking, but other than that the other snacks were all pretty decent. The prices are on the more expensive side, but the atmosphere and the company makes up for it.

Unless you’ve got bottomless pockets, this is not a place to visit every day. It’s great for a bit of a splurge though, so I’d definitely recommend it. The Kyoto craft beers are...

This is a small beer spot located on the second floor in Pontocho alley. I love the signs and the vibe they’re going for. It definitely appeals to tourists as we met a bunch of fellow Canadians and Australians inside the bar.

It seats about 12 people or so, so it’s small. It’s first come first serve, but most people come to grab a quick beer or cocktail and move on. Pricing is decent, and everyone is super friendly inside. Good spot for a quick break before moving on to your next...
