Where do I start? The giant leg of ham, the delicately, balanced Japanese breakfast platter, or the flaky, buttery, in house baked croissants? Wherever I start, it starts and ends with a delighted, contented sigh of deliciousness...........and a loosening of the belt. The kitchen here does a phenomenal job at balancing East and West style breakfasts. You have eggs prepared in a slew of ways, from various kinds of Benedicts, to croque madams, to standard scrambled and more, all tender, all buttery. But then they have well spiced curry with "Gohan", rice, grilled mackerel, miso soup and more.
If you opt for the buffet, you can choose between a Western egg main dish(you can order more than once) or a Japanese platter, that is properly matched with various ingredients, including a very, very flavorful dashi based tamagoyaki, and well grilled piece of salmon. If you want a nice experience of the Kansai region foods, give it a try. And then you have access to the buffet for various other foods, mushrooms, potatoes, vegetables, grilled ham, etc. Pastries and bread are fresh, fluffy, and crisp. Fruits are fresh and sweet. I could go on with the all the options but needless to say, it was all very fresh and very delicious. Special shout out to Executive Chef, Saulo, for stopping by our table and checking in on our experience.
The staff exhibits the standard of Japanese opulence, constantly checking in on us, making sure we were enjoying ourselves, and overly apologetic for small indiscretions, that I swear, I will never get used to. Our hostess, Akiko, greeted us with such warmth every morning as if we were old friends coming to visit. And Rajesh, constantly checked in on my friend and I, even when he wasn't our server. The staff is truly a 5* experience.
Lastly, the ambience is of a warm, detailed, soothing experience. However, right outside the windows is a traditional Japanese garden, which when lucky enough to be seated by, gives such an aura of tranquility while sipping on an English blend of tea and biting into a light, fluffy, stuffed croissant.
I have no complaints about this restaurant and I welcome anyone to come and experience the luxurious, delectable, and delightful foods they...
Read moreThe breakfast buffet here is decent, there’s a good selection of food and an a la carte menu you can order from, but I thought the execution of certain things could be improved.
I found some items on the buffet to be dry and overcooked, so they may have been sitting out for too long. I got a poached egg on 2 separate occasions and both times the egg was overcooked and closer to a hard boiled egg. The waffle with chicken was surprisingly delicious, the chicken was nicely breaded and fried, and wasn’t dry.
You also have the option of getting a traditional Japanese breakfast instead of ordering off the a la carte menu, but you can still take items from the buffet. I thought this was a good experience and I liked the meal, but I did notice that most of the items were readily available off the buffet as well.
Globalists also get a special drink with your meal, it contained cucumber, melon, carrots and some other ingredients, and was...
