I thought it was a really touristy place but they didn’t have English menu, they had sold out everything and the only thing left was ice shaved matcha 🍵(the place is famous for that). I went with my friends because they wanted to try it but I don’t really like matcha so I was screwed. The wait was around 45 minutes! That’s crazy for anyplace but my friend had to kill time so she waited in the Kyoto heat. I ordered a latte and I think it wasn’t on the menu so they struggled with my order for a bit. Cycled there for an early lunch and the place was not busy. Very bright, modern cafe in warm tones, I liked it very much. I was able to park my bicycle in the front. You order from a ticket machine, which is common, then find a seat, and the food is brought out to you. I had the iced matcha and the matcha shaved ice with matcha foam and mochi, all of which were excellent.

Even though its just a stones throw from some of the sights, the clientele was mainly Japanese, so it was peaceful and quiet. Price was okay given the quality. I will sure visit again. When I left, it had filled up a fair bit, with a handful of people waiting on...

Visited in the afternoon and it was pretty quiet. Once you are designated a seat, you can put through your order via the touch screen machine. Wait time was not that long and you can get some self serve tea. Highlight was the rich strong matcha cream which compliments the fluffy ice.
