If you are lucky, and she has room for you to dine, this is the place to be if you are looking for an authentic none tourist environment. It is as if you have been invited to a friend's house in Kyoto. The hostess is genuinely very nice and welcoming as with all Japanese hospitality. The food, while it is not Japanese cuisine, per se, it is definitely delicious. French toast taste 3x better HERE than in France. There's is a certain Japanese twist to all the meals. Four of us had different dishes, and ALL were delicious. Keep in mind, we are quite picky and critical of foods we eat. 10/10 for food, service, and atmosphere.
