Italia Shokudo Galoppare — Restaurant in Kyoto

We live quite near to this Italian restaurant and we cycled past this place a number of times. We went one night without booking and we’re lucky that although the restaurant was full there’s a table for the two of us. We regretted going there only once as the food there was amazingly delicious! The grilled oysters as starter were made in heaven! So so so yummy! Then their bread roll, omg I can have it every day. I was looking for another Italian restaurant in this area but it was already full. Whike driving my bike I suddenly saw this Italian flag and here we are - in a small and very charming restaurant which is nicely decorated. The fish carpaccio, the beef filet with vegetables, and finally the Pastis Tiramisu were delicious. I want to go there again to find out about the other things on their menu. Recommend to drop by if you are in the neighborhood.Their pasta (first #1-3 on the menu) is a must try & their caprese is out of this world with the sweetest Shizuoka tomatoes you’ll find.
