[APR 2014] This restaurant is famous for its Negi Udon (scallion udon). When we arrived just before 12 o'clock, there were already about 20 people in line.
The line moved slower than expected. I almost gave up several times along the way, but the four male students on a school trip in front of me were pretty entertaining, so I managed to hold on. After eating udon, they were talking about going to have a parfait...
The restaurant was very cramped. The narrow space between tables and chairs made it impossible to relax. I had imagined a more spacious environment, so I was very disappointed.
Looking at the menu, there were some standard dishes, but since I rarely get to come here, I ordered the Negi Udon (¥1,100) that I'd been craving.

Read moreNot sure why there are haters besides tourists coming here and expecting not to wait for their food or not being used to green onion udon? Maybe they expected something more extravagant because it's Michelin stared? This is exactly what I expect when I want a good, soba/udon. Felt home cooked - broth was delicious. The breen/fish was likewise delicious and paired well with the broth/noodles. Noodles cooked perfectly. Had beer and sake as well. Small place - only 4 tables, and very much mom & pop. We got there early to avoid any lines. Not much of a line at 6pm on a Tuesday. Would definitely come here again. Good food. VERY nice lady serving us/super cute. If you're a tourist looking for a fancier vibe don't come here and rate this low. This is a Michelin star restaurant. Hawkers with 0 service are Michelin starred in Singapore because the FOOD is good. This place has delicious food AND excellent service with a smile from the very...
