TLDR: Staffs are great now! Everything is cute, worth the visit. Less people on weekdays.
First pic is from our way up to fushimi inari early in the morning so the store wasn’t open yet. Once we got back down it was around 10 am., no queues at all. Many limited goods, cute. Characters dressed up as the foxes from the shrine. A bit overpriced but not outrageous. 👍
Staffs were nice, great service. I would recommend to try visiting by yourself, the bad reviews are from when they just opened up. Things are better now! In the last pic you can see that the bag is covered in another plastic bag. Offered by the staffs, because it was looking like it’s going to rain that day.
We got some keychains and mochi. There are birthday keychains on the second floor. (All dates/months got different designs) One for my brother, one for me. The mochis were delicious! We got the custard/pudding one, yellow box. The character’s faces are printed on the mochis, very cute. Will...
Read moreBring a paper if you come here! To stamp! 🥰 I forgot to and I was sad 🥹 there’s no tax free which is sad 🥺 but the merchandise is all so cute! Definitely can’t miss this if you love chiikawa! There is always stock for the plushies 🥰 come here and don’t buy from resellers!! The paper bag costs more money but it is cuter 💞🤭 definitely get it! The shirts and hoodies only have size M, L and XL!! No size S 🥲🙂↕️!! Went on Sunday 3pm and was super packed 🥹 as you can see from the video. I can’t even walk around properly and everyone is pushing! So if you are asked to queue up outside and only let a few groups of people in at once I think it’ll be better!! It is very near the shrine too! lots of food nearby 🫂 definitely worth...
Read moreIf you're like me and you're still learning Japanese heads up! Just before they let people in they give instructions in japanese only. There are TWO floors with overpriced merchandise. You can only check out ONCE. There's just a little sign pointing upstairs that says "photo opportunity" so I checked out on the first floor. Then, when I went upstairs, there was way more stuff I liked but they wouldn't let me buy things again despite having a receipt with the date and time (5ish minutes ago). I get the language barrier, but it's really bad business. I waited in the fushimi inari area for 3 hours to get into the store....
