Ippudo are Hakata style ramen with wholesome taste & nice flavors. You can customize your portions, spiciness or add toppings. Hot char (non refillable tea) is free. Today I went here again and it felt like they were trying to straight up murder me with the spice. I was coughing and a tear fell out of my eye. Because I was sat in front of the chefs it seemed like they were laughing at me as my soul was burning from the spice. My gf had to scoop out all of the spicy oil as it was unbearable.    Read moreI don't usually write reviews, but I was quite happy when I visited the store today. My boyfriend and I had just arrived in Kyoto today from the UK, so we were a little hesitant because we do not speak Japanese, but surprisingly, we were happy to see a British staff worker working there. He was very accommodating and helped with any questions we had. It is nice to see that such a store is willing to hire foreigners, as it makes for a comfortable environment when you do not speak the language.
