Pro: room was good size for one pax, booked a double room for single. Bathroom was spacious enough as you won’t bump into things like moving from sink to bathroom. The table in the room is wide for your makeup and food and charging. There were two ports on desk, (1 was used by kettle), beside there are two. A alarm clock for your use. Room window can be opened for circulation. Zero mould, toilet no mould or mildew. Shower shampoo conditioner and hand wash provided smells really good too. You can get toothbrush, bath scrub towel, coffee tea stirrer, room slippers from 1st floor. Bedsheet was comfortable and clean. However their pillow is some material, they claim it’s supposed to help you sleep better and can be moulded to your shape but I found it abit hard. I asked for an additional pillow in my booking but didn’t get it. No smoking room very good. Don’t hear any noise during my stay. Super quiet. The tv allows you to sign in to prime Netflix and etc or you can cast, super nice. Room temperature can be adjusted it’s a single unit airconditoner and a air purifier/ humidifier in the room if you need it. Con: luggage space may be limited. I sent my big luggage to Osaka and came here with a small luggage so I think cabin size ok anything larger you’ll have a problem, or get a bigger room. Makeup: the room lights are too dimly lited and it’s a warm color. There is a big mirror and a big table space. Bathroom lighting is slightly better but there’s no space to put makeup bag. Not con but if you are picky: the table has signs of age but it’s a good table. The wall is in a cream color and some parts have signs of abrasions with luggages. Very very minor. Note: I booked on Expedia but I had to pay tourist tax at the hotel based on each night. It’s not a lot but...
Read morePros: Good location, including the cute window overlooking the street where you can eat breakfast while watching people walk by going about their lives Very delicious breakfast especially the Shibazuke (a local specialty) The entrance has very cute and cheap trinkets you can buy as souvenirs Not too many people even during foliage season so pretty quiet and no long waits at counter or restaurant Generally friendly and attentive staff Lots of free amenities like toothbrushes to help yourself to. The free toothbrush was somehow of better quality than the one I brought with me LOL
Cons: The room was so small that on arrival I stubbed my toe on suitcase which I barely had room to open, and I had to get a bandage for my toe There was one front desk staff who turned around and clicked her tongue when my awake for-two-days-straight self didn’t quite understand her Japanese explanation of where to buy bandages nearby and had to ask again. Room had a bit of a smell to it but they provided a spray for that if you wanted, if I recall correctly. My stay was a year ago so maybe I forgot.
It’s a decent place to stay overall, and was the only place left when I booked a month or two ahead of time, but if you have extra money go for somewhere with a bigger room and maybe closer to the station to avoid paying and...
Read moreIt's located relatively close to the subway station and shopping area. As with typical Japanese business hotels, the room is small. But it's clean and I found the bed to be on the comfortable side. Amenities are located next to the elevator. I was able to enjoy a few cups of tea while relaxing in my room.
The staff was friendly and helpful. I asked where to find a particular shop was and they printed out a map for me and showed me how to get there.
The package deal I used included breakfast. I went for the Japanese option, which was miso soup with pork, rice, and other seasonal dishes. Nori (seaweed), natto, pickles, salad and such were available at the half buffet. I liked the breakfast. It was good. I also enjoyed a nice cup of coffee before I headed out for the day.
One thing I had to my advantage was that I speak the language so I didn't come across communication issues other foreign visitors may come across. Mind you, unlike regular hotels, staff at business hotels in Japan aren't always proficient in English.
All in all, I enjoyed...
