Food and atmosphere were great. Unfortunately, the attitude of the staff helping us ruined the entire experience. We had someone Japanese with us to help with translating, so it can’t even be written off as an awkward language barrier. He turned around and walked away in the middle of us asking questions regarding allergies and did not return for a long while. We unfortunately had a small medical emergency which required a group member to excuse themself to take medication and he got very angry that they hadn’t yet put in an order for drinks, even after explaining the situation (our group member was not gone for long and did not disrupt other guests). Service for the rest of the night was frosty at best and downright aggressive at worst. Sadly it definitely seemed to be a race issue. I wish I could recommend this place because the food was actually really good, but in the end it felt like we were just trying to get through the night and paid a hefty amount to be disrespected. Do not come here if you are not Japanese, there are plenty of other places that would be happy...
Read moreI had a Japanese friend recommend my English group check this out, and I was not disappointed. Being awkward Americans, we stumbled in with our reservation, and the staff still helped us so politely despite some confused mistakes we made. We had an amazing time and delicious food with great atmosphere and it seems the other customers love it too for it being a comfy place to relax and eat!! Thank you so, so much again for the memorable experience for our large group, we really can't say...

Once I got there and seated at the counter, the waitress asked me to change seat. Why??? The whole 2.5 hours I was there, the place was never full. All staffs are not very social. It's best to go with a Japanese speaking and reading person, which I am, as the menu is in...
