Read moreWe visited this restaurant today for dinner. The food was good. The reason of my low rating is because of an incident that happened after we ate the food.
When we were about to check out, a server went to count the number of plates we had. We confirmed the number and he gave a slip and told us to go the the front to pay, so we did as we were told. But the cashier lady at the front told us that the other server counted it wrong and there should be one more. She can't speak English and is so impolite and unable to give us a reason. She just keep saying " no, no ,no" We were very confused and asked the first server to come. Probably this server is in lower level and unable to help. I went back to the table and it already got cleaned up so unable to trace back.
The reason I commented here is not about the price of this one plate. As a tourist from another country, there should be some little respect. At least the lady can give us a reason or have someone speak better English ( or use g translate) to tell us why there is a missing plate. This is completely an unpleasant experience.
At the end we were forced to pay one more dish and it is just a few bucks. But I can see how this restaurant treated their customers with unfairness and bad attitude. This definitely ruin my family journey in Kyoto.
THIS IS RIDICULOUS! NEVER EVER COMING BACK TO THE...

Order submitted from ipad. They have english menu too. Simply tap to change language on ipad. Staffs speaks limited English. But u dont need to converse woth staffs at all. Instruction kn how to orders, are printed on a laminated A4 card clearly. Just read them. You will get it right on. Things are pretty automated here. Which is great, practical and saves time Sushi served on conveyor belt train. Its a us points. Something unique and fun. Especially if you brings children, it will be interesting for them.
Sushi here are above average. I wouldnt say average because they offers premium sushi selections like uni, hotate, kani, ikura, abalone. Their Uni are not top grade, but its fresh! Considering the price, 2 pcs of uni ¥700ish its good deal.
They also have chirashi don, which are totally sold out which is a regret. I wish to try it next time.
I'd definitely be back. For this price and quality, its OISHIDESUKA!
