I recently dined at Nakau - Emmachi, an authentic Japanese fast-food restaurant in Kyoto, and I must say it warrants a solid four-star review. As a Japanese-style fast-food joint, the restaurant operates via kiosk-style machines where you place your order and receive a ticket to hand over to the staff. The efficiency of this system pleasantly surprised me, as our food arrived promptly after ordering.

What stood out most were the delicious karaage (Japanese fried chicken) and the Japanese-style ramen. The flavors were authentic and satisfying, living up to the reputation of Japanese comfort food. Additionally, the cleanliness of the establishment added to the overall positive experience.

There’s a man who works here who’s probably from Nepal or India and has a really bad customer service attitude. He works night shifts and always leaves the tables dirty even during quiet hours. He doesn’t acknowledge customers and gives the attitude that you’re an inconvenience to him.
