nishiki katsusushi — Restaurant in Kyoto

Most inventive and beautiful sushi ever! Walked into the restaurant by chance and experienced a work of art created with food. Rice is formed and seasoned into balls, then adorned. The result plated along with dipping salts and other condiments. The picture I will post is 9 nigiri with 4 tempura. The picture does not do justice to the exquisite visual presentation. Tastes as good as it looks. Store probably seats 15, so reservations a good idea until this concept gets the recognition it deserves. Guessing this is a husband and wife team, and new store. Way underpriced, especially situated near an exit to the Nishiki market. We tried to return on a Sunday around 5 pm to explore their menu further, but closed. (Google maps said open...

お寿司といえばやっぱりお茶！なので、 美味しくて豊富な種類のお茶が 揃っているのは嬉しいですね♡

赤出しに本格的な抹茶パフェまで しっかり堪能しちゃいました✨

高島屋でも人気店なこちらのお店は かわいいだけじゃなくて、 いや、こんなにかわいいのに 本当に美味しい 超本格的な手毬寿司なんです。

ネタが新鮮なのはもちろん、 シャリも美味しく 下味が白味噌の鯛、 玉子醤油の烏賊、 ユッケダレの甘海老や 鮪はポン酢・・・など お鮨一つ一つの下味も美味しい ♡...

You may feel privileged to eat in this very cosy and special restaurant. A little like breaking into a sweets shop of jewels where each sushi had its own surprise in taste and look. A plate of little planets.
