Nishiki Warai — Restaurant in Kyoto

I do not recommend this restaurant for people who does not like to wait.

I have been going to Japan more than 5x and this is the very first time I encounter a restaurant with very bad service. The Karabou (Momoyama’s specialty Okonomiyaki) took 45 minutes to prepare - I had been waiting and feeling very hot in front of the heat.

After 30 minutes, I was trying to find the servants but no one is available despite the fact that the shop is not full-house. So I walked from my seat to ask from the Kitchen and they said it will take another 10 minutes. Eventually the food only came out after 45 minutes post ordering via the QR code.

Then I asked the servant “is it normal to take 40 minutes for the food to be prepared?” Then she just replied “I am very sorry”. I expected some explanations why it is so long to prepare not just a sorry.
