Shikibu — Restaurant in Kyoto

I made the mistake of not asking for prices before eating there, and was charged about 10 times the going rate for Kyoto for mediocre food. I lived in Kyoto for 3 months and ate out almost everyday so I know the comparison very well.

Edit on 7/22/19: One year after my review and three years after the original experience, what remains as the most unpleasant and traumatic part is not the price, but hearing an f-word curse in return for asking for an itemized receipt. And that from someone whose English vocabulary was limited at best. I must have eaten out in Japan at least 500 times, most of them in Kyoto.
