slurp — Restaurant in Kyoto

4/5* This review is for the limited Mazesoba menu that will only run until March 31 I think, and this is my first time here, so this won't represent my full review and I'll return.

It's certainly a gentle taste for a mazesoba, I like the garlic to punch you way more and for it to be a little saltier perhaps. But the consistency of the noodles and the meat are incredible and it's certainly quite satisfying to eat, albeit as I said, lacking slightly in flavour. It's not what I'd call bland, but it's enough to not make you think that you're eating something and your mind would drift off elsewhere instead of focusing on the flavours. But...

It's amazing. Definitely a different style from a typical bowl of Tsukemen. The broth is rich and fatty from the pieces of pork inside, but still has a nice lightness to it. The noodles were delightful bouncy. The chicken is perfectly seared on top and super juicy in the center. The eggs were fresh and gooey. The only weak point was the chashu slice, it was basically a slice of normal ham. I would absolutely "slurp" theese...

Accidentally found this ramen shop when i was walking around my hotel area. The restaurant is not like the typical traditional ramen shop. A little bit sceptical at first, but turns out the ramen is so different and delicious. I ordered the scallop broth Ramen. The ramen is so amazing.
