You’d walk right past it if you weren’t paying attention. No flashing lights, no crowd spilling into the street—just a quiet second floor above a building that looks like every other one on the block. Maybe there’s a sign outside, maybe not, depending on the weather and the mood of the day. But if you know, you know.

Climb the stairs—just to the left—and you’ll find yourself in a tiny shop with a killer view of the shrine across the street and the lazy life rolling by below. Inside, it’s quiet. Calm. A woman behind the counter is crafting every cup of coffee and every waffle like it means something—because to her, it clearly does.

This isn’t the kind of place you stumble into with a tour group. You have to want this. You have to appreciate the kind of person who pours their heart into something simple and makes it unforgettable. The coffee’s legit, the waffle hits that sweet, nostalgic nerve, and for a brief moment, you feel like maybe this—this tiny café with a view—is the whole point.

Cute little cafe right across Kumano Shrine. The owner is definitely a Beatles fan since all songs being played on are Beatles. There are 1 table with 4 chairs, perfect for a small group/family. Another 4 chairs in the counter with a perfect view of Kumano Shrine. The interior is so unique with warm atmosphere. It specialises in coffee and waffles, both have lots of variations. Some coffee have liquor though so just be aware for non-alcoholic costumers. Shaved ice (kaki gori), tea and lunch plates are also available. Waffles can be combined with drinks for cheaper price. We ordered very berry waffles and ice coffee set, vanilla and maple waffles, mango milk shaved ice and ice cocoa drinks. All costs 3450 yen which is reasonable. Taste wise, all is great and tasty....

Excellent waffles and coffee. Very cozy location with a beautiful view of the kumano shrine. The owner loves the Beatles so it just adds to the atmosphere. Mint chocolate is hard to come by in Japan and they have a mint chocolate ice cream waffle, so they deserve your extra consideration.
