We had a great time at Tsuchi to Hi! This little sake bar has a great cozy and warm atmosphere and the owner is an amazing host.
She served us some incredibly tasty sake, both cold and warm, and was really attentive and kind following us throughout the evening allowing us to appreciate the sake in the best and possible way. The various small plates she served us to accompany the drink were equally good and tasty, and I suggest you let her guide you in choosing what to have to eat.
The other customers as well were an amazing company, easy going and talkative, they helped creating a very fun and relaxing experience.
Honorable mention to the owner’s cat who stole the show and the hearts of all the customers.
I really suggest you come to this sake bar if you are in Kyoto, especially if you are new to sake because you will have the opportunity to be guided in the best way. The owner also speaks very good English so there are no language problems.
Thanks again for a great evening! It was one of the best spent in Japan :) hope we can come back soon...
Read moreWe stumbled upon this place by chance and are so happy we did!! Mizuho, the owner of the bar, is a delight and curated a fantastic selection of sake for us to try. She also has some of her own pickles on the menu, which went so well with the sake. She speaks English, so we were able to communicate smoothly and get to know her. Don’t miss out on this place if you’re looking to try some interesting sake (including unpasteurized and unfiltered) with some delicious snacks! Support this...
