⭐️ Perfect for a peaceful and beautiful stay. We will come back for sure.
Amazing hospitality: The manager was helpful and friendly. Generally, customer service via written communication (email and whatsapp) and in person was amazing. We brought up a minor complaint and it was dealt with immediately and the communication was transparent. 🌈 We are a lesbian couple on our honeymoon and we felt very safe and very welcomed.
Beautiful, traditional building: It is a gorgeous renovated japanese house. The building door is keyless but the room door has a small key. All doors are sliding doors. The building has very thin walls and floors and the doors creak a little, so you really have to be quiet, both with your voice and with your step at night. We liked that a lot because it provided a calm atmosphere. On the other side, if you are on the ground floor and a light sleeper, guests returning home late at night might wake you up. This is not a place for somebody who wants to party and be loud late at night. The building has an onsen. It fits 1-2 people and has a shower and a sink. There was a sakura bath cream, which helped with dry skin. The building also has a kitchen room with a microwave, fridge etc.
Spacious room with floor heating: Our room was located on the ground floor to the left. There was a private bathroom with a shower and a washlet. The bedroom and living room were separate. The space was big and thoughtfully decorated. The room has convenient floor heating and AC/heater. In the living room was a large dining table that we ate at sometimes.
Charming area: There is a grocery store 5mins by foot. Convenient bus lines 4, 17 and 205 are 5mins by foot. The 205 goes directly to Kinkaku-ji (the golden pavillion.) The area is quiet and romantic with small streets.

Read moreIt was wonderful experience for me and for my family. The design was increadibly beatiful and simple. We really felt the traditional japanese housing from inside to outside. Not just the house but the neighborhood was also quiet and wonderful. When you get out from house you step on a beatiful tarditional housing area with an old river next to it. Hazuki kyoto is not like a standard concrete building with interiors covered with japanase style. It is itself trditional ryokan from inside to outside. We loved it. The owner is a great man and we also loved him. We came to checkin late and he was out because he should have taken one of his hotel guest to hospital. He left right messages and right notes for us to checkin flawlessly. And we did. But he felt deeply sorry for this to happen. Even though It was totally ok for us. He apologized many many times. He presented gifts to us, to my son. We are deeply honored by him and his hotel and his country. I would definetely recommend to anybody who plan to go to Kyoto By the way There was ac, floor heating, beatiful and large private bathroom, room was also clean and enough for three. Close to convinient stores and...
Read moreIt's our first time visit kyoto and I think this was the best experience of stay I had compare to tokyo and osaka. I love the history and antique design of the house, location not the best but its conveniencely 6mins walk to the nearest station and local bus stop, road is very quiet and abit dark at night but i love to walk throught that small alley in morning make us feel like we are living as local life and from tourist crowd, nearby Hazuki have cafe what opened earlier than many other cafes. The owner/manage he was very helpful and friendly, I remembered on the day we checked out, he offer us to send by his car to kyoto JR Station but we already booked a taxi and help helped us talked to taxi driver to make sure he drive us to correct destination.
I would highly recommend Hazuki if you want experience the most affordable , friendly owner, and plus the room is super HUGE, we got out room at ground floor, we have our own Dining room with bedroom, I love the floor warmer and comfy bed.
I will come back again next stay and no regret to stay here.
Thanks hazuki for committed to your best with...
