Warning: If you’re not born and raised in Japan DO NOT EAT here. I am Japanese by birth but grew up in Hawaii. The owner treated my family and I like we were trash. Rolling eyes at my mom. Scolding us for eating certain things and a totally wave of attitude when we declined the over priced Omakase. The food in all honesty was good. But the service and environment they created was toxic. I would not and will not recommend this place to anyone visiting Kyoto. It makes me sad as there are a lot of things I would have liked to say about this place that we’re positive. BUT the utter disrespect for me and my family can’t be overlooked. Stay away, go someplace else where they’ll make you feel welcomed. Price are between ¥1000 to ¥7000 depending on the item. But again if you don’t order the ¥7000 Omakase expect a cold shoulder.

Wow what a great experience! We had the best sushi here, everything was so fresh and tasty. The staff doesn’t speak too much English (the menu is in English) but one of their regular customers did so he helped us with communication. The owners and staff are all very nice and polite people and they gave us some great recommendations for Kyoto.

Come immergersi nello spirito di Kyoto. Ho preso un omakase da 5 portate piatti a scelta del cuoco. Materia prima eccellente e porzioni abbondanti almeno per la mia logica. I proprietari fantastici ti fanno sentire a casa e non un turista. Cosa importante per me nessun odore di fritto o di pesce vecchio qui era tutto neutro come piace a me. Solo contanti ma la somma non è esagerata ho speso 8000 yen per tutti i piatti che ho messo in foto più un tè freddo e un sake caldo nonché un tè finale caldo.

We had a wonderful dinner at Yoshino. The restaurant interior is beautiful and the staff were very kind and patient with our limited understanding of Japanese. English menu was available!
