A delightful local café run by a cafe veteran couple. There is lots to choose from on the food and drink menu, all with very reasonable prices. This time around I got a small bit of traditional Japanese kissaten-style pizza toast and it was prepared really quickly, of course with great drip coffee to come with it. Recommend for breakfast as the set is a good deal!
The customer service is quick and efficient too, always a bonus. I loved overhearing the daily conversations going on with the local neighbourhood regulars - it really is a cafe for the community.
The shop only allows electronic cigarettes so you will not be surrounded by the strong tobacco smell or see the smoke of other customers (unlike in other traditional kissaten cafes) which is...

A Hidden Retro Coffee Spot in Japan If you’re into classic-style coffee shops with a nostalgic atmosphere, this place is worth a visit. It’s different from the usual scones or chocolate cakes you see elsewhere, and I personally loved it. One thing to note: many places in Japan still allow indoor smoking. When I visited, I noticed some people using e-cigarettes, so it can be a consideration depending on your...
