Beans — Restaurant in Matsumoto

I'm really glad I came to Beans. The food was delicious. I had a medium Mexican pizza with a small salad and an ice tea. I really like thin and crispy pizza like they serve here. What I really like more is the friendly, happy service I received from the wonderful couple that runs this place. I assume they're a couple, but they might be just coworkers. They made me feel good with their wonderful, cheerful spirit. I love supporting good people who run small businesses like this. I left thinking I might come back here again even though I'm only going to be in Matsumoto for 3 days. I usually never go back to the same place when I'm traveling. What a great find. A lovely, friendly Japanese couple serving Italian food that is far, far superior to any of the "tourist food" that is so common in Italy, and at a reasonable price. We shared a pasta dish and a pizza and both were absolutely delicious in the style of "proper" Italian home cooking. We don't usually eat at the same place twice when travelling but have already decided we're going back tomorrow night for another of the many choices...
