Matsushima Italian Toto — Restaurant in Matsushima

Probably one best Italian food ,But in Japan We passed this walking then visited around 6pm to experiance customer service of the highest standard the food was fantastic beyond good . this is one place not to miss and even the drinks on the counter was jug with wine fruit so we ordered Sangria Oh my was it good the flavour and the kick of spirits that blended well . But lets get on to food the pizza was fresh superb as good as any in italia yes thats saying something,then I had pasta marinade or sea food pasta It was large it had loads fish shell fish the sauce was superb the whole experience was close to perfection and we even mention it after weeks away and would I go again you bet if this was closer I would travel 2 hours to eat here again it was that good , The staff I would like to thank you all your chef your counter waitress it was special experience you come across ones in a long time ,Yes...

Variety of Italian food in convenient location I visited Toto twice in the last month with friends. I like the casual cosy atmosphere with comfortable chairs, Italian travel posters on the wall and cute custom coasters. The staff and managers are young and the restaurant has a trendy, modern feel. It's also no smoking which is a relief!

Toto seems to specialize in seafood dishes, which makes sense as it is on the coast. I highly recommend the seafood appetier for a variety of greens and light seafood in a subtle lemon marinade. The clam pasta was well seasoned and not too heavy. The margherita pizza had good quality cheese and a tasty crust. My only quibble was that the sangria was weak and overly sweet, but perhaps that is what people prefer here? For under 2000 yen/person you can easily have an entree and salad or drink and then hop onto the next train...

Great little Italian restaurant in Matsushima. We ordered the pescatore pasta which was amazing, the prosciutto & rugula pizza which was pretty good and the margherita pizza which was very good. The fritter at the end was quite good flavour wise but a little doughy. Drinks selection was nice, and matched the food well. All in all, highly recommend if you’re in Matsushima and feel like something besides seafood! The restaurant is conveniently located right outside...
