燈弥 — Restaurant in Morioka

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Every dish we tried was delicious, but the highlight was definitely the Maesawa beef sukiyaki — incredibly tender and practically melted in my mouth. I also tried horse meat sashimi for the first time, which came with a spicy miso paste and a mustardy side salad that really enhanced the flavor.

Don’t miss the handmade udon — it had a perfect firm texture that’s hard to find elsewhere. They also offer a great selection of sake; we chose one from Iwate and really enjoyed it.

The restaurant is run entirely by the owner — he prepares and serves everything himself. We were the only customers at the time, so the service was smooth and personal. Despite the language barrier, he was extremely friendly and patient with us. Highly recommended for a unique and memorable...
