Maverick — Restaurant in Nara

After an exhausting day in Nara we wanted some non-typical Japanese food, so we started looking for a burger restaurant in Nara, and eventually came to Maverick. Ordering was a bit though, as the owner/waiter/cook did not speak a lot of English. This was not a problem, we got exactly what we ordered, even for our somewhat difficult order. And, to be honest, these we're the best burgers we've ever seen in Japan. Not in the world, we've seen some excellent burgers in USA/UK/NL, but these come easily in the top5 best burgers we've ever had. The patty is thick and juicy, the cheese is real cheese (unlike the plastic cheddar sometimes used by the big M or big K), and the bun is much more tastier and much better texture than many other burgers. In Japan you should eat typically Japanese food, but if you want to splurge sometime in something other, this is the place to go. For 4 burger menus and 2 drinks we paid just under 8k Yen. what an amazing place. been to many burger restaurants but this one does it really, really well. the beef comes from grass-fed cows, and the incredible bun delivered by a bakery. a burger bun is often forgotten in a burger but not here - warm and crispy on the outside, firm enough to grab it firmly but soft enough to complement the beef. my cheeseburger reminded me of a big mac taste wise but so much better. it is indeed one of those burgers where its size makes it difficult to eat which i do not necessarily like but the taste hits just right, so i do not mind.

Maverick is a great place to visit for an amazing burger and american experience! Anytime I travel abroad, I like to try different cuisines and we decided to try a burger place in Japan and Maverick was amazing! Great customer service, amazing quality burger, and great ambiance! Highly, highly recommend for anyone wanting to have a great burger and experience! They were even playing a bunch of classic american music which we thoroughly enjoyed!
