Sun Bird — Restaurant in Nara

Visited in October 2024. Stumbled upon SunBird as the only restaurant we could find that was open when we visited Nara. We had no idea what to expect having never eaten omurice before. It's an informal diner and you order your food on a touchscreen. What a revelation! A mountain of deliciousness! All freshly cooked to order and I chose the omurice with the egg on top. The original omurice was so tasty. I can’t eat it at any other shop other than this shop.Originality and taste was very good, and atmosphere was so nice. And shop's menu is a little few, but I can enjoy original omurice. In addition, Price was not so high, so we can enjoy omurice with a light heart. But this shop is a little difficult to find and small. And close time is earlier than other shops. So, you should wait in the line for some time. Even if you have to wait for long time, you should go and eat it. I want to go there...

Surprisingly delicious and very filling Japanese egg omelette, omurice. You order and pay through a touch screen kiosk which is mostly in Japanese, so you'll need your Google Lens translator. The process can be slow since there's only one machine with each person going through the menu and deciding on the spot.
