We had the most amazing meal here! Do not miss this small gem when you are in Nara. The chef was so happy to see us, and bent over backwards to give us an incredible dining experience. Everything was top notch including avocado têmpura, garlic mushrooms, eggplant with miso cheese sauce, roasted potatoes, Shabu shabu beef, grilled chicken with black pepper, followed by brown sugar ice cream for dessert. Sake and yuzu cocktails rounded off the evening. Service was so friendly, and even though the chef and server spoke no English, Google translate made ordering a breeze. The restaurant also had a hand written menu in English. Overall the value was great, the flavors unforgettable, and the whole experience was one of our best in Japan. We made a last minute reservation on Google Maps after striking out at a few other places. So glad we stumbled upon this one of...

If you are in Nara, you MUST come to COO. DINING for a terrific dining experience. This restaurant is simply amazing.

It’s only about a 7 minute walk from the JR Nara Station.

The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and great decor. You really feel comfortable here. The restaurant has Covid measures in place: hand sanitizers readily available and plastic partitions at each table and counter.

The staff here are fantastic - super friendly and very accommodating. The owner of the restaurant is great - very knowledgeable about cooking.

The food here is so delicious. The menu has lots of great items on it. There’s a lunch and dinner menu. The restaurant also has a great selection of alcoholic beverages from Japanese & European beers to local sakes and much more.

English menu available.

Can’t wait to eat here...

Came in after we arrived in Nara today from Tokyo. We were near the end of their lunch serving so we were the only ones in the restaurant. Ordered Yamato beef steak and chicken katsu.

The best meal we had so far on this Asia trip through Asia.

Beef was juicy and tender and beefy but not too fat (like sometimes wagyu is just too fatty that you can't have too much of it, talking about you A5)

Chicken was moist and juicy and the batter was crunchy.

Can't say how much we love this lunch meal. But everyone needs to come and try for yourself.

It came out to $36CAD. We think...
