We were looking for somewhere to eat after visiting Nara park and we found this place was highly rated (for Japan) on tabelog. It was great to come into a nice peaceful restaurant after coming from a busy Nara park area. The service was efficient and we were quickly seated (we had missed the lunch rush having food at 3pm). We ordered the special prawn tempura rice box and the wagyu rice box. Both were delicious. The prawns were crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked in the middle. The beef with egg rice was delicious. Would happily eat...

The store front looked super cute so we went inside…. unfortunately it wasn’t a very good meal (probably our worst in Osaka/Kyoto area). The tempura dishes have thick breading, and the big mochi platter was just semi-hard chunks of mochi in glorified soy sauce and other kinds of sauces. There was no line, the occupancy was 20% full yet still took 20+ minutes to get two tempura sets and a mochi platter. Would skip and encourage you to find other...

Interesting Mochi Zen, so we decide to come check it out. It is pretty much a set meal with small bite size Mochi food. 6 food piece and 3 dessert pieces. They are all very nice!

The restaurant is nice and clean and staff was quick to serve us water. Ordering is through QR code and easy to use.

We were here for a small lunch but rest of the set rice...
