Seafood BBQ "Mekiki-no-Ginji" Nara JR Station — Restaurant in Nara

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience at this restaurant. The seafood wasn’t very fresh, and the menus, the elevator at the entrance, and even our table had a strong wet dog smell, which was quite off-putting. On the positive side, the menu itself was very complete, and a few dishes were still good.

One major downside is the hidden 526 yen per person service charge, which was only mentioned after we were seated, not displayed on the menu or at the entrance. The toilets were also poorly maintained and quite dirty, which added to the disappointment.

Are these service staff Japanese? If they are, then I was witnessing new low of Japanese services. They didn't even bother to hide their impatience while serving anyone, I mean literally everyone.
