Terrible service from the manager lady who was working 02.03.2025 around 21:00 PM closing time. The kiosk to order the food broke so I asked her for help since my credit card payment went through despite not getting a receipt. This lady was rushing everything and ignored me. When I tried to explain I don't have a receipt, she kept ignoring me and purposely made me wait on the side while serving other customers. She also voided my order. I had to show another employee my credit card payment and use Google translate to explain the situation. But she kept trying to tell her employees to stop talking to me. I am shocked by this lack of customer service to fix the issue. I feel very disrespected by her lack of empathy. She refused to help me and would not give me back my money either. When the order finally showed (cause they reloaded the receipt paper), she did not apologize and just hid in the back, pretending nothing happened. No compensation. No attempt to have a conversation. This is by far the most unprofessional, irresponsible manager I've interacted with in Japan.

Taste: The worest McDonald’s I had!!! Can’t believe I had this burger to end my trip in Tokyo . 940 yen for a combo ( drink + teriyaki chicken + fries )

I only took two bites on this Teriyaki chicken Burger. Over flooded sauce, too salty and sauce just stick all over my mouth. Ok… I gave another chance to have my second bite, sorry I can’t really take it! Chicken patty is totally fine, just the sauce is overloaded and sticky. Look at the French fries, is hot tho but the texture, the oil…. I can’t take that before my flight.

Anyway, so so sooo disappointed. Especially in Tokyo , especially having this meal...

I've been eating McDonald's all my life, but I couldn't resist the novelty of seeing what's different about it in Japan vs the US. I was happy with what I got - the menu has its own twists and the food seems better prepared. Ingredients seemed more fresh - fries came out hot and crispy and burger was neatly made (I hate sloppy presentation). The limited time strawberry pastry looked just the same in person as the ad and was super flaky (see the pic). 4 stars for food because it's still McDonald's and service was fine (I don't speak Japanese so there was a language barrier).
