We ordered a 15-course omakase for 85,000 yen (about $65) but it somehow came out to a 20-course meal (of course not complaining lol)
The place is fairly new (about 1.5 years old) according to the owner. He’s super friendly (as all Japanese are) and utilized Google translate throughout the entire course to show us which specific fish was being presented. He speaks little English and was able to have a very basic conversation while we were waiting for another couple who reserved the omakase for 5:30pm.
Food is top notch, especially given the price range, and we were able to reserve the omakase the same morning which is not always the case.
Cute atmosphere with an intimate feeling in a quiet neighborhood which is also refreshing given Osaka is a major city.
This was our last stop before we leave for Kyoto so 100% worth it with no regrets. Indeed, my fiancé got so full about half way through that I ate her portion the remaining dinner haha!
10/10 would recommend for great food, new local business, and great ambiance in a less noisy...
Read moreOn the last night of our 2 week trip in Japan we wanted to book a nice sushi dinner. Luckily we were able to reserve online the same day which turned out to be easy.
It's in a quiet part of town away from the touristy area which was really refreshing and made for a nice evening stroll. It's not surrounded by other restaurants but situated in a quaint neighborhood. Inside is intimate and well decorated.
The dinner was even better than we expected... It ended up being the best meal we had in Japan. Tempura, soup, and other dishes round out a sushi focused dinner of rare and some staple fish and the number of dishes was plentiful.
The chef put in the effort to explain to us using his phone what each dish was. At the end, he walked us out. It was a perfect end to our trip. Do yourself a favor and go to...

My wife and I were visiting Osaka and wanted to have a fish/sushi degustation. After looking around, we were intrigue by this restaurant as they serve a large (and rare) variety of fish. We booked easily online (same day) and went for the dinner.
This dinner was even better than we expected and saw in the reviews. We had lots of small plates to try which included soups, tempura, sushi, and different types of fishes. As a tourist, we were grateful to have such experience because you can rarely find it somewhere else.
Also, the chef was a wonderful person, happy to chat about our trip, the food he was preparing and just in general.
Once again, my wife and I were super happy...
