Akami Modern Chop House — Restaurant in Osaka

I chose this steak house based on Google ratings and proximity to our hotel. The neighborhood is very quiet, and literally on a Monday night we were the only ones in the restaurant. Google says that it is $$$ but I would say it’s $$$$. Having said all of that, it was a fantastic coursed meal, western in style as opposed to a Japanese steakhouse. We had the tenderloin course menu. My favorite courses were the lamb starter and pumpkin soup. Of course the tenderloin was great, as was the chocolate cake. Enjoyed the food here. Came at around 7pm with surprisingly no one around asides from one group.

Ordered the 500g tenderloin for 11000 yen, was a perfect medium rare. They will finish it off with hot melted butter after serving it to you.

"French fries" were wedges, but still delicious.

Would come here again the next time I am in Osaka.

Everything is perfect. They provide a service, although we don't speak Japanese. Every dish is wonderful, nice ingredients, good seasoning, nice combination, good portion, main dish is the spotlight. Super juicy and tender, it's definitely worth spending the money to have a meal here....
