Turned up at Any's after a higher rated place I went to first was closed. And thank god it was! Because Any's is hands down one of the best burgers I've had. Ever. Everything about the place sings of Any's passion for last century Americana. Yet the decor is mixed with an ingenuity and humour that goes way beyond homage. The inside of the place is worth the dinner money alone. Now the burgers are extraordinary. Mine was HUGE. So big that the very affable Any built me a special foil and card pouch to eat it out of. The sides make a nice change from the usual french fries, especially love the battered sweet corn.
Friendly service in a charming shop, give...
