This cash only ramen shop combines counter seating with a quite a few tables in the back. It might seem small from the outside but I think it’ll seat well over 20 people.
They specialize in a creamy chicken broth which is absolutely fantastic - the best chicken-based soup I’ve had in all of Japan. There are two types of chicken that it goes with - one that has the texture of smoked breast, and the other a ‘burned’ charred cut with the skin. They’re both delicious. I recommend the spicy variant but my wife had the original and it was a real tribute to the flavour of chicken.
You order via the vending machine. There are no pictures or English, so it’s bit tough and you’ll need to be ready with your translation app. I think they have an English menu but you’ll have to ask someone behind the counter for it, because they have no dedicated waitstaff.
Came here on a weekday afternoon. It’s about five minutes from Dotonburi but in the ‘wrong’ direction, so there’s less crowds and less lines. Definitely a...

We went there as it is one of the highly recommended noodle place by many reviews. It is a self-service setup which is fine. As we were ordering from the vending machine, we were rudely yelled at for touching a bag of rice that they put next to the machine. The guy (chef) even ran out to yell at us "no touching!" without any explanation. If it was so "untouchable", why did they even put it there where every customers walked through. From there, everything went downhill and it was hard to enjoy and had a good experience with such horrible services and attitude. I felt they really did not welcome foreigners and maybe just Chinese. They should just put a sign out and say "foreigners not welcome". Such a racist restaurant, I will not recommend to anyone. THere are tons of other equally or better noodle...
Read moreI was in the mood for Tori Paitan, and I came across this shop as I was searching on Google maps. The entrance is difficult to find, without any signs or menu boards out front. If I wasn't so determined to eat chicken ramen, I would have just passed by and found a different place to eat. I have attached photos of the shop entrance to assist you in finding the door. Employees were all friendly and some can communicate in English. English menus with photos are provided next to the vending machine(which is only in Japanese). Soup was rich and full of deep, chicken flavor. Noodles had a good bite, and the bit of red onion and greens added was a nice touch. The free ice water provided in reusable cups(not single use plastic) was appreciated. Pro tip: add freshly cracked black pepper and take it to...
