I went twice, to give it a fair shot. The staff aren’t fond of tourists, so I’d avoid. They’ve also clearly jacked up prices for them, so not sure what they’re getting at.
I’d been really wanting to try the vegan fried fish bagel, but the first time I went they were sold out. The second time I asked the counter ahead of time, and they said they have it. After a 30 minute wait, I sat down and asked for it, only for them to say it’s not there.
I’ve ordered the soy meat plate Buddha bowl thing - not much food, I needed to get a protein bar after.
The second time I ordered the fried food bowl on the side and also pad Thai for enough food. The flavor was ok, but not worth the price.
I mainly went here instead of the Indian places nearby because I wanted a more Japanese vegetarian experience. I’d say not worth - don’t go here, instead go to the two other vegan sushi places in Osaka (so much better). This place is too pricey and not...
Read moreI'm no longer surprised to see comments saying the staff there aren't fond of tourists. I was treated very unfairly and coldly by a staff member today. I had been lining up for a long time, but didn’t realize I needed to write my name on a sheet first. It wasn’t until I reached the front of the line that I noticed they were calling out names from the list. (I had been using my computer while waiting.) I explained the situation to the staff, but she insisted I add my name to the end of the queue and said they would only follow the list. I later confirmed with Hanshin Department Store that there are better ways to handle situations like this, and they acknowledged that this is not an appropriate way to treat customers in Japan. They also should have checked the order of customers against the names on the list, but they didn’t. In any case, if you're not Japanese, you might want to be prepared for the possibility of being...
Read moreIt's very convenient, me and my friend were waiting for the bus back to Tokyo and needed to get some food. The menu is simple to navigate, clearly lists all the ingredients, so it's easy to choose. It is definitely overpriced, even for a vegan place. I got nanba soy meat rice plate and usually when you get a rice plate, that means a lot of food... I was very surprised when the food arrived. My friend got chicken curry and the portion was very upsetting too. She also said the curry didn't taste like curry. I ordered the set with the soup of the day, and asked what the soup was: potatoes with soy milk. Sounded delicious. When the soup arrived I was disappointed one more time because it was served cold and I wish the staff told me about it... Overall, there are way better vegan places in Osaka. Definitely better non...
