Visited this cozy ramen shop, which is a sister branch to Naniwa Menjiro—one of Osaka’s top 100 eateries in 2023! The menu is small and focused, offering just two types of ramen.

The Golden Clam Ramen has a lighter broth that’s full of umami, with a hint of sweetness and a clean finish. Then there’s the Shoyu Ramen which comes with a darker, richer broth made from local chicken stock.

The chashu was smoky and flavourful, which was a nice twist, but we wished the noodles had a bit more chew.

Also gave the gyoza a try—it was decent but nothing extraordinary.

A cozy ramen shop with no English menu, so it’s best to use a translation app. The menu is quite simple — not many options — but the ramen is tasty and well-balanced. It wasn’t mind-blowing, but the yuzu (Japanese citrus) added a nice refreshing touch to the broth. One thing to note: the shop has a clear rule about not cutting in line. If someone is holding a spot for a friend, both the people in front and behind should be aware. Otherwise, locals might think you’re skipping the queue — Japanese people take this...
