STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Every single bad reviews on here is real. Long story short, I made a reservation online, but I was late so they sent me a email that they’ve cancelled me which is fine because I would just walk in and wait.
I am glad that I left this place without paying a dime. When I got there an hour after they canceled me, they got a me table very quick and repeatedly kept telling me that I must order the same shrimp course set that I’ve placed online. First, the online booking website only allows you to choose the shrimp course set to process the booking, so it’s mandatory. (I wanted the crab leg set but it’s not listed on the website) Secondly, they were tremendously rude to non Japanese customers. The first two female servers didn’t bother to listen or take my requests. They used the phone translator to tell me that “ I MUST order the shrimp set”, even though I tried to explain to them that I couldn’t able to choose anything else but shrimp course set when I was making the booking online. I did try to ask them if I could order something else but with the equal amount of price, but both of them rejected me. Thirdly, the price was a scam. The price of the same shrimp course set they forced me to order is differ. Online price is 4500 yen per set, the price on their menu is 3000ish yen per set. With that being said, I will have to pay 18000 yen for 32 shrimps. (8 pieces and 4500 yen for person) Lastly, they kept going round and around telling me the shrimp sets have reserved for us, so we MUST take them. But the thing is that they sent me an email saying they had canceled my booking. I was so sick and tired of explaining myself, and they never listened anyways, so my family and I just packed our stuff and left this place. Before we stepped out the restaurant, they still try to hold me back. And the manager all the sudden said that I can cancel the shrimp sets and continue ordering the crab legs as I requested in the very beginning what Ive told the first server. Scam. Do not trust the 5-stars...
Read moredefinitely just a tourist trap. maybe a scam. avoid at all cost. everything about this place was pretty terrible. we were approached by a staff while walking by and were quickly ushered to the restaurant. we were the only foreigner group amongst all japanese customers. our order took over 45 minutes while other customers next to us got their orders very quickly. when we asked about our order, they just told us it will be ready soon but the staff members continued to chat amongst themselves and laughing. the restaurant was not busy and most tables were empty so there was no excuse why our order of 2 items took 45+ minutes. we eventually asked to cancel the second part of our order and they immediately told us thats fine and that we can just pay for the one food item and our drinks and leave. I don’t think they ever started on our order in the first place. when we were leaving, one of the staff member said “wow their face looks so sad” in japanese and they all started cracking up and laughing. when we got our check, we were charged ¥300 per person as a table charge, which we were not made aware of when we were approached nor was it on any of the signs or menus.
The kushikatsu was also pretty bad. The vegetable ones were decent but the seafood ones did not taste fresh at all and was extremely fishy and unpleasant.
We don’t want to assume but we definitely left feeling like we were racially profiled. Overall just a terrible experience. Would...
Read moreDO NOT TRUST THE REVIEWS!! To start, the restaurant promote a free drink in exchange for a 5 star review which is why we were tricked into thinking this place was going to be good. Beware of the workers outside who try to lure you in. This was our WORST dinner experience yet and heres why: You are FORCED to buy a drink per person There is a table charge per person about 380 yen We ordered our food after waiting so long for the waiter only to WAIT ANOTHER 30 minutes for HALF of our order. They didnt check on our table once and we had to ask about the missing food and our server seemed clueless. The workers there did not even seem to care or apologize for this issue. My friend only received his drink in the entire duration we were there. They had an option for thin slices for sashimi, we thought it meant same portions just thinner… NO it was probably one piece of sashimi in total for the dish and just cut so thinly. The sushi was not as fresh as we hoped, the food was very mid Also in every restaurant we had been to so far (which is at least 2/day for a week) we had alway been greeted and sent off with so much kindness, this was the only restaurant to not greet us or say goodbye (minor thing but easily noted when everyone else in japan has been so kind) Please note that there was also smoking and vaping allowed in...
