Eight To Five 2 — Restaurant in Osaka

Well, went to this place with the idea of making it my go-to Osaka breakfast spot. Restaurant was full but a table for 6 people that was being occupied only by 2 girls graciously offered me to sit at their large table… Chef guy said “no” and pointed for me to wait outside in the 95 degree heat even though there was space for me to wait in their aircon - A real a^}^#hole move that shows me this (cash-only) place is run by a douche… cash-only sign should have been a @tell” that the owner is a teat….poor customer service in Japan is rare but exists! Too bad - and, they lost a potential regular customer as well....

The food was excellent! I believe that's more a Canadian breakfast than an American one since it's pretty sweet and there's a lot of maple syrup.

The location was great, it's a few minutes walk from the subway. We went for a late-nrunch so there were no lines and the restaurant was pretty empty. The service is not fast, but the weight...

I tried the Elvis Plate (pancakes, bananas, peanut butter & ham), the American Plate (eggs, potatoes, ham & pancakes), and the breakfast sandwich — all super fresh and delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming to foreigners. Just a heads up: it’s cash only! Highly recommend if you want a true taste of American...
