Takamura is one of the best coffee roasters I have been to in Japan! They have freshly roasted speciality coffee beans and each cup is freshly ground and brewed! Their selection of single origin beans is impressive. Their Nicaragua single origin is actually one of my new favorites. A very crispy, winey, and slightly sweet-chocolaty and sour taste!
One of the most important criterion for a good roaster is is when they write down the roast date directly on the package. The beans I bought yesterday had been roasted six days before, which is adequate when you buy coffee beans of this level. When you go to other places, the roast date is often either unknown or several weeks old, and then they try to tell you that coffee beans have to rest for so long! Donât believe them! Speciality coffee beans are best within two weeks after the roasting!
As for the atmosphere, well I went there on a Sunday and it was a very hectic and noisy place. Children running around, people standing in line. I actually prefer their Awaji store. Two minus points: 1. No health food options, and 2. I didnât see any coffee tasting. But, you can watch the coffee brewing process and the barista and ask questions. Their barista from yesterday even spoke English! Continue the...
Read moreWonderful spot to get a cup of coffee or just to sample some wine. Tons of seating upstairs and downstairs. They have a cool wine dispensing system that puts your small tastes of the wines you can buy for a small fee. Iâd highly recommend taking a short trip out here if you enjoy coffee or wine.
Wine: For those of you just visiting, you need a card to use the wine dispenser. It costs „500 to get a new card but the fee is waived if you charge more than „5000. BUT if you go to the front desk you can ask for a rental card to borrow which does not charge a fee but when you give it back you lose any remaining money so plan ahead.
Coffee: If you want a hand drip coffee, you pay upfront and then they guide you to the pour over counter. The baristas there will give you a menu to choose the coffee bean you want. A wonderful system to keep the...
Read moreI fell in love to this place! Already came here twice.. I really recommend the ice cappuccino which has a creamy taste and the tonic coffee! I juat hope they will make new coffee menu, not only with soda but also fruit flavoured soda.
Their homemade doughnut is also so good đ
The place is very wide and big as a coffee, winery and shop. It has two floors and maybe more than 30-50 tables? And also an outdoor space. So you don't need to be afraid not to get a table.
They have their own coffee roastery and everything which you can see yourself.
It's so good to spent your time to do anything, because everyone is also minding their business. Even if it's crowded, but because it's a big hall the noise won't bother anyone. They also installed 4 restrooms on the...
