First full day in Osaka and found this place besides the hotel we're staying in. At around 0900, my three adult kids went in ahead of me. Me and my other kid came in about 5 minutes later. A waitress with long colored blonde hair acknowledged me and I tried to explain that I'm looking for my kids. When I saw them, I pointed at them to be seated close to them. The waitress probably did not understand what I said so I went in and said that they're my kids in a polite way. She then moved us to the table that can accommodate all five of us. My other three kids had already placed their order. Customers started coming in but the waitress took their order first before me and my kid who came in last. She was doing her best to ignore me. I was watching her to get her attention but she was avoiding to look at my direction. I had to get the cook's attention so we can be assisted. If my other three kids had not placed their order, we would have all left. After we're done, I had my other kids walk ahead of me, they thanked her but I told her that she was rude. The restaurant offer great food but I definitely...
Read moreCame here for breakfast at around 10:30am. It was pretty quiet and chill with half the cafe filled. The waitress asked us if we wanted to sit in the smoking area and we said no.
IMPORTANT NOTE: this place is definitely for a sweet breakfast. If you’re looking for something salty and savory PASS ON THIS PLACE.
Also, rules are rules and if your party isn’t prepared to order a drink or food then have them not come or chose another place. They are very strict about everyone seated ordering. If you’re looking for a place to chill go to Starbucks instead.
We ordered pancakes and eggs benny. The Benny comes on a biscuit and side salad. The hollandaise was creamy and the egg was cooked to perfection very runny. Unfortunately for me I would’ve liked a little salt and pepper but I didn’t know how to ask for that in Japanese. Oh well.
The pancake was the star though. Fluffy and eggy.
Overall this place is a good place to chill and eat. But it is not by North American standards a satisfying brunch spot. For me it was just not savory enough. But if you’re into clean, light brunch that’s not heavy on...
Read moreGreat spot for pancakes in Osaka! The place is really clean and nice, the atmosphere is relaxed and feels good. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. When it comes to the pancakes, oh my goodness!
The portions are quite generous and the pancakes are fluffy and airy. The egg taste is there, but it's not bad, in fact it makes it quite distinctive. I got the eggs benedict pancakes which were very tasty and the sauce was so creamy. The smoked bacon was thick and savory, very good quality. It came with a salad so it's a complete meal for just under 1500 yen. We also got the roasted apple pancakes for dessert, and they were also extraordinary. The quality of their caramel is outrageous, we were very pleasantly surprised.
In total, for two portions of savory and a portion of sweet pancakes, together with a caramel latte (highly recommended), the bill was 5000 yen. Very reasonably priced for the quality and the amount of food that you get. Definitely...
