Jojoen Yugentei — Restaurant in Osaka

Today’s dining experience was extremely unpleasant! Firstly, as I arrived at the restaurant early and there were no customers at that time, the server seated me by the wall. However, when I inquired about switching to a window seat, the service staff didn’t respond at all. I don’t know if it was because they couldn’t understand English, but I already felt that their service attitude was not very good. In the end, when I finished my meal, there were no customers seated at the window seats!

Furthermore, when I wanted to order a set menu, the menu provided by the establishment didn’t have any details about the contents of the set menu. Even after ringing the bell, they didn’t provide the information promptly, and it took a long time for them to do so. Shouldn’t the details of the set menu be provided when customers are initially seated?

Moreover, when the staff served the dishes, they didn’t explain the dish names or how to consume them. I had to ring the bell and inquire before they informed me about it. The service was truly lacking thoughtfulness!

I ordered the most expensive set menu today, but apart from the raw beef and lettuce, I do not recommend any other ingredients. The overall value for money is low, and I highly discourage people from dining here, especially if they don’t speak...

We are here as a family during our stay in Jul 2024. They typically do not allow children but we're willing to accommodate an early 6pm seating so long as we returned the table by 730pm.

We got 3 of the sets which was just perfect for 2 adults ands children (6 and 4 yo). And despite being technically not for children, the staff were very kind and helpful.

Entire meal was very satisfying, from the appetizers to salad to beef to the dessert. Well be back (adults only!) to try the more...
