Short: excellent burger!
Long: my burger philosophy is to try the simple burger at a place first and if that’s any good then come back and try the strange toppings. But here, it seems the hamburger and cheeseburger were quite different. So we tried one of each and was pleasantly surprised! They are completely different. It’s not just the hamburger with a piece of cheese on it;
The hamburger is just a burger, with fried onion jam. No lettuce or tomato. And was very good. Soft bun, really noticeable that it was very well toasted and you got a nice crunch from inside from the bread. And the lack of vegetables really made the seasoning of the pepper stand out in the patty.
The cheeseburger is completely different. Having the lettuce and tomato in there really changes the feel. A bit more of a classic burger experience. The vegetables make it feel like more of a sandwich something you’re familiar with from other burger places but very well done.
We were really pleased with both. Great and different burgers.
If I was to make any kind of feedback it’s that the Nashville chicken wasn’t as interesting as the burger. It was very spicy but didn’t have a lot more interesting flavours going for it besides that. And it felt a bit too soft almost mushy. Perhaps marinaded too long? But realistically we came here for burgers and not chicken and they...
Read moreThis place blew me away! The short: Everything about this burger hits the spot. The bun was toasted but soft, with fresh bread, the caramelized onion jam was mouthwatering, the burger sauce was creamy and authentic, and the patties were juicy and tender. You’d be hard pressed to find a better burger in America. You won’t regret trying this place!
The long: I’d been traveling around East Asia for a few weeks now and unfortunately got sick during my stay in Fukuoka. I recovered by the time I made it out to Osaka, but have been feeling under the weather and home sick, plus my stomach had not been adjusting well! When I saw this place just up the street from my stay at the Sakura Guest House, I knew I had to try it-and boy I was not disappointed. It seems to be a one man operation, the owner is friendly AND accepts credit cards (so rare here in Osaka 😅). I asked for the double cheese burger set and was impressed by how quickly my meal came out. The fries were crispy, the burger was big and juicy; and the whole thing was just what I needed to get out of my home-sick funk. This burger isn’t just “good for Japan”, it has a genuinely authentic, satisfying, and high quality taste that is hard to come by even back home in America. The generous portion also made me very happy! I hope this place gets a lot...
Read moreIf you’re a burger lover in Osaka—or frankly, anywhere in Japan—King’s Code Burger is a must-visit. From the first bite, you’ll understand why. Their burgers are insanely juicy, with patties so tender and flavorful that they melt in your mouth like perfectly grilled perfection. Every bite bursts with richness, balanced by fresh toppings and a lightly toasted bun that holds everything together without stealing the show.
What sets King’s Code apart is the way each burger feels like a carefully crafted experience rather than just a meal. The blend of textures, seasoning, and that unmistakable umami hit make it hard not to call this one of the best burgers in Osaka—and maybe even one of the top burgers in all of Japan.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, King’s Code Burger deserves a spot at the top of your food list. Come hungry. Leave amazed.
P.S. Order the Nashville...
