I was worried about booking this hotel, my boyfriend had convinced me it was a good choice as he’d stayed with this chain before. However I shouldn’t have been worried, it was a great hotel for what we needed. There’s no point when you are just using the hotel to sleep and get ready paying more, yes the room was a little small even though we had paid for the deluxe room and there wasn’t space to really unpack but apart from that I couldn’t fault the hotel. And even the lack of space was fine as everything else made up for it and if I ever go back to Osaka I’d certainly stay here again. The room was very clean, all hotels in Japan seem to provide all the necessary toiletries so I really shouldn’t have bothered bringing any with me, it had more than just your shower gel and shampoo, there were free toiletries provided in the lobby as well. The breakfast was good although Japanese style and we only saw egg one morning out of the five we were there, it was a nice little extra and we enjoyed going down each day to see what we could eat. We are both vegetarian and there was always something we could have, it was really busy on Sunday and Monday so we should have gone down earlier on those days. The location was great, yes it is in a quiet spot but it was ideally located for going into Umeda or Namba and we easily managed to get the subway to the places we wanted to visit. It seemed a good option because it was between key places, we also liked the quietness of the area and thought out of the other Toyoko Inns we spotted we had picked a good choice in the end. It was less than a 5 minute walk from the local subway stop and near a 7/11 which was ideal for picking up stuff to store in the fridge in the room. I really loved this hotel despite my reservations beforehand. You do pay extra to get your room cleaned but it wasn’t necessary if you aren’t there long and even if you don’t have your room cleaned they always leave clean towels on your door which was the only reason I’d added for our room to be serviced twice whilst we were there as I hadn’t realised we would have our towels changed. |100% book this hotel if you are looking to...
Read moreWe recently stayed in this hotel for one week. It's located 3-5 minutes walk from the Minami-morimachi subway station. The very long Tenjinbashi-Suji shopping street is also only 5 minutes away where you can find many restaurants packed with local people - therefore reasonably priced. The hotel itself is very well maintained and managed. The room is clean and have all the amenities we want. We stayed in a standard double room which is bigger than we expected. In addition to a desk and a chair, it has two additional chairs and a small table. Although the complementary breakfast is mainly Japanese style, it also has bread and coffee. Food is replenished very quickly. If you are coming from Kansai Airport with luggage, we suggest you to take the airport shuttle bus (1550 yen one way) to the Umeda area and take a taxi from the terminal to the hotel (about 1000 yen). If you take the JR train, since the Osaka station is so huge, you'll end up carrying the luggage up and down the platform and having difficulties finding the taxi stand. We'll choose this hotel in our next...
